Filling Station for Compressed Gas Filling

TS, in partnership with the company SIS NOVAM, designs and manufactures, complete systems for filling cylinders, cylinder bundles and tube trailers with compressed gases with pressures up to 360 and 420 barg.

The filling process is achieved through high-pressure pumping of one or more liquefied cryogenic gases, supplied by cryogenic storage tanks, to gasification batteries, usually consisting of ambient vaporizers, possibly placed in series with electric or other types of exchangers, and then sent to cylinders with final filling pressures of up to 200 or 300 bar nominal, depending on their maximum working pressures.

 

Below is a simplified configuration related to a system for filling cylinders with a single compressed gas.

For filling mixtures with two or more gases, the plant would provide several separate and independent streamlines, each of which would have either an additional pumping and gasification system, or a compressed gas or gas mix supply, from cylinder, cylinder packs, or tank cars. In this case, all ingredient gases would flow into a special mixture filling panel, located downstream of the DSP switchboards and upstream of the filling station, equipped with all the necessary devices so that no gas refluxes to the various distribution systems are allowed, as well as any safety solutions to handle, where present, stations with multiple final filling pressures (e.g., 200 and 300 bar nominal).

  • Valve box with delivery lines from the latter to the various filling stations
  • System for analyzing the purity of the product fed into the cylinders, with associated sampling circuit, consisting of at least a sampling valve, a reducer, and a sample flow supply line to the analytical system.
